We at DTI are always conscious of the negative impact of our industry on the environment, so are in continual contact with our mills as to what processes they have and will put in place to help reduce their impact.

Regia's story so far

Waste Water Recycling
Regia have had their own waste water recycling plant for 20+ years which biologically treats the water before it rejoins the city water cycle to be used again.

Solar Power
In March 2023, Regia started using solar panels to provide electricity for their mill, reducing their carbon use and CO2 emissions. During the day, they draw up to 100% of their power from the solar panels, naturally it is less in winter time due to the weaker winter sun and shorter daylight hours.
