The environmental impact of PVC is much greater than that of acrylic and in an age where we are all trying to reduce our own impact on the environment, choosing acrylic coated fabrics over PVC coated is a good start.
- Acrylic production uses less energy than PVC and is produced from natural gas which is naturally occurring unlike PVC which is made from petroleum.
- Acrylic coated fabrics are washable at 30 degrees and ironable (on reverse)
- The handle of an acrylic coated fabric is as per the base fabric used, making it drape better and softer to the touch.
